🟢 Samsung and the scatter gun innovation strategy
Nearly two years ago, Samsung launched a new TV. Given the pace at which Samsung does throw products in the market, this is anything but breaking news. Except this TV encountered an incredible success. Its name is The Frame, and its core gimmick is that it's a very thin TV with an ultra mat screen that, when idle, will display a random art piece. Like... a frame.
That's it. No fancy spec or resolution (far from it; the TV is admittedly not the best to watch a movie on), no rolling or transparent screen, or incredible size. It's just a TV that doesn't look like a TV when you're not watching anything on it.
Smart.
