Applying My BIG Technology Framework to TikTok
I thought it would be interesting to apply my Bing Technology framework quickly and dirty in the context of the whole TikTok mess.
It's quite interesting to check how well everything falls into place (also, if I'd go into more details at the level of 'technology engines' at play with the hype cycle, etc.) and lead to scenarios that all end up being quite negative for society—except for a main one that I would call the GREAT Soft Quitting.
What is key in terms of strategy here is always the same: not trying to be locked down into some sort of prediction but, to the contrary, understanding what the next turnaround events are to monitor so that we can understand which scenario (or which combinations of them) will unfold.
This is about building reactivity and creating optionality; not trying to read a crystal ball.
